This week’s episode is unlike any other. As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, I, Adrienne, felt a nudge to share something extraordinary—the ultimate gift of freedom and healing that comes from Jesus. This special Christmas episode dives into the incredible concept of unity with Christ, exploring the powerful truths from the book of Romans and the often mis-translated Greek prefix "sun," which encapsulates the closest possible union with Him.

Tune in as I unpack the transformative gift of being co-crucified, co-buried, co-resurrected, and co-heirs with Christ. Discover how this gift can bring healing, freedom, and abundant joy into your life right now—not just for eternity. Whether you’re new to faith or have been walking with God for years, this message is for you.

Plus, I’ll share inspiring testimonies of miraculous healing and the incredible promise that disease and pain no longer have a place in the lives of those walking with the God of the universe. This Christmas, unwrap the gift that was given to us all—freedom in Christ.

Adrienne Wheat:

Hi friends, this is Adrienne Wheat, your Registered Nurse, back on The Balanced Blood Sugar Podcast, and you know what? I had different plans for the script for this week, you know. As the majority of us here in the US and probably around the world get ready to celebrate Christmas, I had planned to do some more tips and tricks about the holidays, but you know, we just launched our website. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, please do. Hopefully you'll find some really great resources on there. We just put out a free video workshop on there about baking and eating your cake around the holidays. So some of you who've been with me before you've heard some of that already, but we did open up a lot more about you know how to use sweeteners and all those types of things. So if you're interested in that, feel free to check it out on our new website. But I'm really going to go out on a limb here today because I feel like, well, we are a faith based company and if that's something that turns you off, you are more than welcome to shut me off today and we'll be back to our normal programming next week, but I just really feel like God wants to give you something so much more for Christmas than tips and tricks for your blood sugar. And we're going to talk about a little bit about why our name is Wellness Through Unity. I know that might sound weird. This is The Balance Blood Sugar Podcast, but we're actually a podcast under our umbrella company, Wellness Through Unity, and I know that sounds like a really strange name.

Adrienne Wheat:

You know, but it actually comes out of the Romance of Romans. It's something I've been studying a lot in school this semester and it has just flabbergasted my theology out of the water, because I have a Bachelor's degree in Missions. I used to be a missionary, and the things that I've been learning in ministry school this fall have been beyond anything I ever imagined. And it boils down to this little Greek word called “sun”. Now, in the majority of English translations that word is not there. In most of our translations, it gets translated as "with." You know, we were crucified with Christ in Romans 6, and when you really dive into the original Greek, that word is not a separate word, that word is a prefix. So the actual translation doesn't read crucified with Christ. It reads co-crucified with Christ. You know, I was co -crucified with Christ and it's that idea that the word in that Greek actually means the closest possible union, meaning oneness, the same type of oneness that you experience in a marriage. It's that same type of unity. And literally, you know, throughout Romans Paul uses this romantic marriage language that you become co-crucified with Christ.

Adrienne Wheat:

Then you're co-buried with Christ and then you're co-resurrected with Christ and you become a co-inheritor of the kingdom of God. And it's this whole idea that when a person comes to believe in God's gift upon the cross, you know, believes the story of amazing grace. You know he came as a baby at Christmas. You know he lived a full and sinless life and died for our sins on Easter. But we didn't just watch him.

Adrienne Wheat:

You know Christians, through what God talks about in the Bible, when you come into a saving knowledge of the Lord and you choose to accept what He's done, what gift He's given, you become co-crucified. You become co-crucified, the old parts of who you are get co-crucified, and then you get co-buried in baptism and while you're baptized your heart gets circumcised, so parts of you that are no longer pleasing. You know, the sinful parts of who you are, God’s like snip, snip, snip, goodbye, you know. And then you get co-resurrected. So, basically, what ends up happening is you get raised to life with the DNA of the God of the universe unified to yours, and you know, our whole company is founded upon this principle that you know, when you are co-crucified with Christ, and you know we talk about it in Galatians, you know, you become one with God and it's such an amazing thing to think about that the God of the universe loves you so much, so much that not only did He just come as a gift at Christmas?

Adrienne Wheat:

You know, and I know there's debates out there whether or not He was actually born at this time and whether and regardless of when He was born, this is the time we've chosen to celebrate it, and this is the time that we just get to reflect on what a miraculous gift that was. I mean, I don't know about you all, but if I like got like miraculously impregnated when I was 15 years old and my fiance is like, uh, what? Like I'm not sure I would handle that very well, you know. So I mean, the whole story of it all is just amazing, you know. And he's born right into a messy manger, like he shows up in the middle of the mess and like that's how He always is. You know it really is how He always is.

Adrienne Wheat:

You know, I just felt like the Lord wanted to reach out today and say you know the co-resurrected life. You know Isaiah says that by His wounds we were healed. And Isaiah uses a past tense. Isaiah doesn't use a future tense like you will be healed when you get to heaven one day. Isaiah uses a past tense by His wounds we were healed.

Adrienne Wheat:

This idea that St Augustine said it back in the 1800s even that if you're waiting until heaven to receive the fullness of what God has for you, including your healing, then Jesus is not your savior, you have made death your savior. And when I heard that for the first time, I was just blown away. Like how long had I been waiting for God you know, to just I'll fly away, oh glory. You know we have so many songs about it in the church Like I'm just going to get to heaven one day. Everything's going to be great when Jesus is saying I already paid the price for you to have it now. I paid the price for you to have it now I have fused my DNA to who you are.

Adrienne Wheat:

When I went to the cross, I didn't just go to the cross and say okay, come on along with Me, like I went to the cross so that we could become one, John 17. His prayer for oneness is not for the future, it's for now. He said I pray that they will become one, as you and I are one. And Jesus prayed that prayer before he went to the cross. And on the cross we became one, one in his death, one in his burial, one in his life. And you know just, if the God of the universe lives in you, hi, baby, if the God of the universe lives in you, how can death and disease any longer have a place? You know, I encourage you to hi, baby. I encourage you to listen to.

Adrienne Wheat:

You know the story of John G Lake. John G Lake was a healing evangelist during the time of the bubonic plague and he took care of all the sick people. And they said how is it that you're not getting sick? And he said because the Spirit of God lives in me. He said when the Life of the Universe is filling every part of who I am, how can death any longer have its place? And he said put it in my hand. And he held out his hand to the doctors, and they put the bubonic plague in his hand, and they put his hand under a microscope, and they watched as all of it died. I mean the power of the living God. You know we don't talk about it as much in the US as we maybe do in other places, but you know He paid the price for your healing already.

Adrienne Wheat:

You know, and we talk so much on this podcast about so many ways to optimize our health and eat nutritiously and I think, 100% we are called to be good stewards and faithful stewards of what we've been given and we shouldn't be filling our temples with things that don't serve the Lord and serve us, but at the same time, we shouldn't be feeling as if we can't be free because our freedom has already been bought. You know, disease has no hold in the Kingdom, you know, and the joy of the Lord is you strengt (Nehemia 8. And you know we have this thing in school we call "presence therapy and it sounds so funny but literally it has healed entire Muslim families and all kinds of people by literally just laughing. We just, they just start laughing, start laughing and the joy of the Lord falls upon everyone and people get healed and it healed this entire Muslim family in this testimony from somebody in our school. And you know I have friends that have been healed from completely, completely, like on their deathbed with cancer, and now she's like traveling the world as a missionary and releasing books everywhere on the amazingness of God and she's, my gosh, such a wonderful minister of the Lord.

Adrienne Wheat:

And you know I have friends who've received brand new colons, like they went to the doctor and the doctor's like I don't know what happened, but your Crohn's disease is gone and you have a three-year-old's colon. Like you know, that's our God, and I just want to say there is nothing in your life that you are dealing with that is too big for Him. There is nothing that is too big for Him. He has already paid the price for every single thing that you are going through, whether it's hip pain or knee pain or cataracts or glaucoma or, you know, shoulder issues, whatever it is that is going on in your life, gut issues. He has paid the price already, and I just felt like to go completely off script this week and just tell you that that's the gift. That's the gift He wants to give you this Christmas... Freedom, freedom from disease.

Adrienne Wheat:

Now, that may walk out differently in everyone's life, but Freedom is here and Freedom is coming for you, and the life that you feel called to live, the life that you feel like, has been passing you by, no longer. Because the Life and the Light of the World has come, and it is good news, with great joy for all rejoicing in the world. And so I just want to release joy over you today, because the oil of gladness was Jesus's reward, it said, for the joy set before Him. He went to the cross. You know, joy is only second listed in the fruit of the spirit. It's love, joy, you know.

Adrienne Wheat:

So I just want to release His joy over you this Christmas. I want to release His healing and His freedom over you and I just decree and declare that all things have been broken by the blood of Jesus, because He is so much stronger and He is so good and He just loves you so much. And wherever there is pain on your body, right now, I just want you to take note, I want you to look at it and right now I just speak to it in the name of Jesus and I just say no more. You are no longer in control, because we are not children of the slave, we are children of the promise, and I just release God's healing over you this day that your body would line up to what God has said, that healing is the children's bread that you know. Just like that Samaritan woman wanted scraps from the table, lord, you Lord this You is for my children.

Adrienne Wheat:

And, Lord, we just pray and we just release that joy and healing over everyone this Christmas. God, just rain down, just take care of all of these, your people, Lord, all of these who may not even know you yet, who may think that this is all woo-woo crazy. Lord, just fall upon their hearts today with exuberant joy and exuberant laughter and healing. Lord, that they would know God, that they would know you love them, God, that they would know You love them, You came for them and that this whole season You were born just for them, that of all the stars in the sky and all the sand in the sea. ou know them by name and You know every hair on their head.

Adrienne Wheat:

Lord, we just thank you for releasing Your healing in this season that A1Cs would come into alignment with Your perfect will, that You would teach these people how to walk out the stewardship that You're showing them, the stewardship that You're revealing to them, and what they should eat and not eat and how they should move their bodies. And, Lord, we just, we just thank you for all the healing You're bringing in this season, Lord, for decreasing the inflammation that's causing issues, for removing headaches and migraines and gut issues. Lord, You are the God who heals and the God who saves, and we just thank You, Lord, for bringing us into Your presence this Christmas and reminding us that what You truly came for is to become one with all of Your bride, all of Your creation, that they would know the fullness of joy and abundant life. And so, with that today, my friends, we just pray that over you and in Jesus name, we say amen and we just pray that you have a wonderful holiday season, a wonderful Christmas, a wonderful New Year's, whatever else you may celebrate in your country, and we say we will see you around the bend.

Adrienne Wheat:

We'll be back next week with some more of our normal programming, most likely, but I just wanted to bless you with that gift today And you know, check your body. How are you feeling? Look around, Did your pain go down? Are you feeling any better? If so, we want to hear about it. You know our website has a section for comments now, so please hop on there, let us know, let everybody rejoice with you. We love hearing, hearing what God is doing in your life. So anyway, on that note, I will talk with you all later. Merry Christmas.
